Feliciana Bank & Trust Company is proud to announce the availability of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in East Feliciana Parish. Dolly Parton's Imagination Library is a book gifting program that mails free books to children from birth to age five in participating communities at no cost to the family. Through funding provided by Feliciana Bank and Trust Company, the Imagination Library is now available in our community. We are giving the children of East Feliciana Parish access to free, age-appropriate books delivered directly to their homes. Each book is brand new and carefully selected by a panel of experts on childhood literacy and early education.
Feliciana Bank and Trust Company has been dedicated to serving our community and customers since 1904. We are thankful for this opportunity to sponsor the Imagination Library to give back to East Feliciana Parish and to help our children develop a love for reading.
In 1995, Dolly Parton launched Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, to benefit the children in East Tennessee. Dolly’s vision was to foster a love of reading among her county’s preschool children and their families by providing them with the gift of a specially selected book each month. By mailing high quality, age-appropriate books directly to their homes, Dolly wanted children to be excited about books and to feel the magic that books can create. Moreover, she wanted every child to have books, regardless of their family’s income.
